Rustic Chic and Vintage Invitations

November 12th, 2012
This year has been the year of vintage and rustic chic invitations.  I have been dreaming in burlap, mason jars, vintage fonts, and lace so I thought I would share a very small sampling of the vintage invitations that I have created over the last few months.

Michelle and Will – Atlanta Wedding

November 8th, 2012
Michelle and I met a couple years ago when I was going to wedding locations to help build my business.  She has since moved companies and now works for an amazing catering company here in Atlanta, Bold American Catering (http://www.boldamerican.com).  When she got engaged I was so excited that she contacted me to help her with her wedding stationery.  Michelle had great ideas so it was really fun to combine our two creative minds and come up with really special paper pieces.  To start, her and Will love to run so she wanted a save the date that incorporated that somehow.  We decided to design a save the date that would replicate a race bib complete with fake sponsors, the race number as the wedding date, and hole punches (she even added safety pins before she mailed them).  Then, when it came to her wedding invitations she wanted something that was modern, chic and incorporated the city of Atlanta.  These items were so fun to create and this idea can easily be designed with other cityscapes if needed.

Lauren and Mike – Blush Pink and Black

November 6th, 2012
Lauren was the first bride this year that wanted to do blush pink and black.  At the time I had not seen this color combo together, but once I started to do some reasearch I completely understood what all the fuss was about.  What fun colors!!!

Atlanta Weddings Magazine – Fall/Winter Issue 2012

November 6th, 2012
I tell people all the time that I really believe I have the best clients in the world.  I have come to meet so many amazing people in the past several years, and many of them have become friends.  I consider myself fortunate to know Cindy Simmons (of Star 94 Atlanta Radio) and her now husband, Eric Carnell.  Cindy, Eric and their daughter Lily have been neighbors of mine for the past 2.5 years.  Cindy and Eric are two of the most kind, generous, loving, considerate, giving, and thoughtful people you will ever meet.  Lily is just the same, and I hope that my daughter is half as great as she is one day.  Cindy and Eric's wedding was so personal and I'm so honored that not only did I get to work with them on all of their wedding stationery (save the dates, wedding invitations, programs, and wedding monogram), but I also attended the wedding.  They were featured this year in the Fall/Winter Atlanta Weddings magazine and I wanted to share it with you all.  I have to say, there were so many great parts of this wedding but I think my favorite part was when Eric took a knee and recited vows to Lily.  I tear up just thinking about it, and I have yet to experience a ceremony as moving as that one.  Loved...every...minute. You can view pictures of their Save the Date here:  http://www.occasionsonline.com/weddings-and-parties/special-save-the-date-from-atlanta-star-94-host-7959 As a side note, I'm very delayed on posting this article.  So late that they have since added to their family with another gorgeous little girl, Luna James.  I know, I know...I have got to get better about this blogging thing.  Many congrats to the wonderful couple!!

Shawne and Steven – 10.09.10

November 20th, 2010
I ran into Steven at a wedding networking event he was attending with his fiance, Shawne. Steven and I went to school together, and Shawne was there representing Anne Barge (she is the VP of sales for the amazing dress designer). So, I was so excited when Shawne reached out to me a few months later to help her and Steven with their wedding invitations. They were getting married at a Kentucky farm and wanted to keep the invitation timeless and classic. Her mother has always loved the fleur-de-lis so it was perfect to use for the invitation. 102410-1420100730-IMG_014020100730-IMG_013820100730-IMG_0139

Maren and Tom – Classic Elegance

November 3rd, 2010
Maren was referred to me by Jennifer Lackey at Storybook Wedding Consulting (who is fabulous, by the way), and boy am I glad she did! Maren and Tom's wedding is the most perfect fairytale as you can see from the pictures. From the linens to the design to the flowers to, of course, the paper, there was not one single detail missed. One word...breathtaking! You can also check them out on WeddingWire. Camille and Bret – Victorian Inspiration

November 2nd, 2010
Camille found us on one of our FAVORITE sites, The Knot, and was getting married in Riviera Maya, Mexico (jealous). She was unsure of what she wanted her invitation to look like but after a little conversation I got to know her a little more and could tell exactly what she was looking for. I started with the monogram that was printed on vellum paper, and once she liked that it was easy to do the rest. She absolutely feel in love with the completed set, and I am sure you will too. 102410-34102410-35102410-36

Rachel and Jon – The Winery Wedding

September 25th, 2010
Rachel and Jon were two of the nicest and most genuine couples we have ever worked with. Rachel wanted her wedding to be elegant, classic, and vintage-inspired and as you can see from these amazing photos she certainly accomplished the wedding of her dreams. We were very lucky to get the opportunity to work with her. They got married in San Luis Obispo, CA, and have some of the most amazing photos. The photos from the wedding were taken by Colleen Rosenthal, and the photos of the invitations are done by James Paul Photography. rachjon056220100720-20100720-IMG_656120100720-20100720-IMG_6565102410-1820100714-20100714-IMG_654220100925-IMG_1288_0131rachjon0483_001rachjon0496_001rachjon0362_001
