Little Miss Pease – Princess and the Pea(se) Baby Shower

March 31st, 2016

I have this amazing friend, Erica, and she is the kind of person that goes out of her way to do incredible things and be an incredible friend.  So, when she got pregnant my friends and I were so giddy with excitement with even the tiniest thought of planning her baby shower.  Then, she found out she was having and girl and it was ALL OVER when we figured out we could do this theme.  There is nothing that is more perfect than this for this amazing person that we are so lucky to call our friend.

Book Themed Baby Shower

November 7th, 2012

I know I have mentioned this before BUT I just love throwing showers and designing invitations for my closest friends.  This was definitely one of my most favorite projects to work on for one of my very favorite people in the world, Lindsey.  My friends and I decided to throw a baby shower for her where in lieu of a card the guests were to bring a book.  Love this idea because by the end of the shower Lindsey will have many new books to read to her little one.  So, in the spirit of the theme, I wanted to create an invitation that looked like a book, complete with fairytale story, and response postcard designed like a library book checkout form.  I’m not even sure if they still have those forms but being a child of the 1980s I do!  I hope that you all enjoy this invitation as much as I did designing it.

We can design this in any color combo you want…especially for those gender neutral or baby boy showers.

Here is how the card read:

Once upon a time in the land of Atlanta there lived a beautiful young lady named Lindsey, and she had a very important secret to reveal…she was having a baby!  Lindsey’s friends and family from Atlanta, along with her mother and sisters from the Empire of Columbia (where the King lived), had just heard of the wonderful news and decided that a grand celebration was in order.  All the fairy hostesses (names of hostesses listed) got together and began planning this truly special event.  The event was scheduled for (Date and Time) at the home of the world’s best storyteller, Jennifer Lazo (name of the hostess whose house we were using for the shower).  Jennifer lived in a gorgeous castle in the southern region of the land of Atlanta at (address here).

This wasn’t just any party though…this party was going to shower Lindsey with all of the essentials she will need to provide only the best care to her new baby girl (which can be conveniently purchased at Buy Buy Baby).  Each guest also made sure not to forget to bring a book to the party as this was the most important part!!  They needed to make sure that the baby girl grew up to be just as smart as her mommy.

Everyone was so overjoyed with the news of Lindsey’s new baby, and they all new this shower was going to be the best event of the year for one of their most favorite people.

The End…or perhaps, just the beginning of her

My Client’s Events

December 16th, 2011

I love seeing how the events come together, so I LOVE when my clients share their photos with me.  Therefore, I decided to share a little of what my clients have shared with me by putting together event collages.  I hope this gives you a little inspiration for your next event!

Babies, babies, babies!

January 15th, 2011

Something is in the water lately because my phone is ringing off the hook for baby shower invitations. Here is one that is super popular and can be altered for a girl, boy (not pictured) or for those that want to wait for the surprise! We can also add a colored envelope liner that will give that pop of color.

This is one of my favorite shower invitations. The coral and brown was the perfect color combination. Hope you enjoy!

Jen’s Pink and Black Baby Shower

October 1st, 2010

I just adore this invitation. Jen was having a baby girl, Eden, and her baby’s room is all pink and black and has a small black chandalier that hangs from the center of the ceiling. It is just adorable. So, we chose to design an invite that would replicate the room. I hope you enjoy!

The Swan Coach House Shower

September 30th, 2010

The Swan Coach House is a little restaurant tucked right in the middle of the well-known Buckhead community in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the epitome of Southern Charm and a very popular place to have a bridal shower. My mother and her friends were throwing a shower for their best friend’s daughter at the Swan Coach House and wanted an invitation that reflected both the wedding colors (lime green and lavendar) and the venue for the shower. We all thought this was perfect, and apparently so did many other brides that have ordered this same invite for their events at the famous restaurant.

Garden Themed Wedding Shower

September 30th, 2010

A very close friend of mine was throwing a shower for one of her coworkers and wanted to make the invitation truly one-of-a-kind, so she definitely came to the right place! Jennifer was getting married in a garden, and her colors were orange and brown so we whipped something up that would tie it all together for her.

Sugar and Spice Shower

September 30th, 2010

Sugar and Spice…I just LOVE this shower idea. It combines both the practical with the sexy, which was a perfect combo for my little Persian princess bride (close friend of mine so I am allowed to say that). The beautiful bride is below in the coral with her equally as gorgeous family.

The wording for the invite was the best part, so since you cant really read it well in these photos I thought I would share it with you (thanks, Britt!):
The shower’s theme is Sugar & Spice
Since gifts for the kitchen and bedroom are both quite nice
You have each been given one or the other
And you will find your assignment on the invite’s front cover
For Sugar think cooking essentials to stock her new place
For Spice think lingerie and satin, silk or lace!

I have recreated this invitation with many different color combos, so please send me an email or give me a call if you are interested!

Something Blue Wedding Shower Invitations

September 27th, 2010

Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something BLUE! Its always fun to design invitations for an event for one of your closest and dearest friends. My friend Lindsey got married in July this year, and my friends and I wanted to do something truly unique for her. Her shower had several parts, and I thought I would share them all with you since it was such a great idea (THANKS, JEN!). Something old was either our fondest memory with Lindsey or wedding advice for those that had not known Lindsey for too long. One of our friends compiled the memories/advice and put them into a scrapbook for Lindsey to keep. Something new was something from her registry. Something borrowed was a recipe and the invitation included a recipe card. Something blue was the theme of the shower so everyone invited was to wear something blue.
